Taxes cost over 1100 jobs thanks to ObamaCare
But taxes wont really impact jobs or business....


Stryker Corporation has announced that it will close its facility in Orchard Park, New York, eliminating 96 jobs next month. It will also counter the medical device tax in Obamacare by eliminating 5% of their global workforce, an estimated 1,170 positions.

Jon Stryker is heir to the Stryker Corporation, one of the largest medical device and equipment manufacturers in the world. Stryker’s grandfather was the surgeon who invented the mobile hospital bed. The company now sells $8.3 billion worth of hospital beds, artificial joints, medical cameras, and medical software every year.

Stryker, a member of the Forbes 400 list, was one of the top five donors to the Obama campaign. Having donated $2 million to the Priorities USA Action super PAC, Stryker also gave $66,000 in contributions to Obama and the Democrat Party.

Prior to the 2012 election, Stryker contributed millions to help Democrat candidates in his home state of Michigan. He also gave nearly $250 million to groups supporting gay rights, transgenderism, and the conservation of apes. In January, his Arcus Foundation donated $23 million to Kalamazoo College for an endowment to fund a center for social justice leadership.

President Obama will push Republicans to accept a deficit reduction plan that includes $1.6 trillion in extra tax revenue over the next ten years, double the number he had previously been pushing, according to multiple outlets.

In 2011, Obama tried to get Republicans to accept a deal that included $800 billion in additional revenue. The president plans to push the $1.6 trillion in added revenue Friday during an early meeting with legislators on a deficit reduction plan.

Since winning reelection Obama has made avoiding automatic tax revenue increases and spending cuts, which take place in early 2013 if a deficit reduction compromise isn’t made, a top priority.

On Tuesday the president met privately with a number of union leaders and liberal activists to discuss a plan. In the meeting Obama reportedly promised to make good on his previous vow to allow the Bush-era tax rates for some of the wealthiest Americans to expire.

Which was passed as part of Obamacare. This gets levied on the "total revenues of a company, regardless of whether a company generates a profit, starting in 2013." That's right around the corner.

"Many companies will owe more in taxes than they generate from their operations. The result will be devastating to innovation, patient care and job creation."

The industry was hoping for it's repeal on a bipartisan basis.
