Economics Fallout from ObamaCare - Page 2

Talked to a dentist friend of mine today. He recieved notice from the Invisalign people (clear braces) thathey will add $50 to their lab fees as a result of the medical equipment tax under ObamaCare. My kid is over 30 so it wont impact me but Doc said he will pass it on as a line item as an ObamaCare tax so his clients know why the prices are going up.

Forward!!!

Only rich peoples kids get braces so it is probably a good thing right?

That's not true durtyrute. Healhcare was once affordable, although not always cheap...and no one was turned away. The Progressives were pushing for universal healthcare as far back as the early 1900's before there was a healthcare crisis.

All this govt intervention in healthcare markets has done and pushed up the price and made both doctors and patients unhappy while corporations got the most out of it. It doesn't work. It distorts pricing signals and pushes the demand curve.

I know we are not rich, yet we have to pay an additional $ 500.00 ( 250 x 2 ) for 2 doctor visits on the wife and I just to continue getting our medications, of which each has went up 10 %.

That's FORWARD with our money that is very difficult to come by now a days.

The horror stories our doctor has told us about this ObamaCare on 2 Seniors that have no insurance is not promising at all.

Leave it to the dumb ass punks and idiots of this country to put a plan together to limit the care of Seniors. But as they say, just die quickly and leave the money to us.

That's why some are calling Boomers pasty old white guys. Their lives are worthless. Their thinking is suitable for a system that will ration the elderly to an earlier grave. More for them. Not only do they pit the rich and the poor against each other but the generations.

You understand all of this far more than I do Buc. I just don't like the principle of some people getting better healthcare than others because they make more - to me that should be a basic right.

My 27 year old son who works at Home Depot as a promotional guy, just was told yesterday that he has to pay $100 more per month for his medical. $1200/yr increase overnight. Thanks Obamacare. But, the middle and lower class won't see any increase in their costs = BULLCRAP!

Having access to affordable healthcare should be a right for everyone - that I agree on - but rich people always get "better" than everyone else at everything. Homes, cars, food, schools, etc etc etc.
