Racial Slurs

We're having some posts being reported for the use of racial slurs in this forum. While it is widely known that there is some racism that goes on in this forum, those users have found a way to dance around the issue enough that the majority of moderators of this website have deemed the behavior fine for now.

It's really not okay to me at all. I don't believe that people of color should be subjected to that shit over political affiliations. That said, I'm a firm believer in a majority consensus so it is what it is at this point.

That said, overtly racial slurs will result in bannings. It is a bullet point in the TOS of this website, and not much is out of bounds. One user has already been banned, and another one has been warned. If you insist on trying to dance around racist comments, please be prepared for a vacation if you use a term that is deemed racist by the moderators. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Oh I'd be interested to see the names of those reporting as well, and the frequency with which they report.

Too, publishing the names acts as a deterrent to frivolous reports.

I have reported one post in the entire time that I have been here.

I reported you for bypassing the filter to make it look like people were saying the N word.

Immediately after I reported your post I said I did so in a public post to you .

It sounds good to say people just need to use common sense, but when you have a special rule for calling someone a pedophile that doesn't match up with rules about other forms of namecalling, it really leaves the realm of common sense.

And what happens if we really believe a guy might be a pedophile? Dane's weird reaction to that subject makes me wonder if there's not some fire creating all that smoke. Like maybe he's been accused in the past or something (pure speculation). Obviously I don't know him so I don't have any idea other than the really weird vibe so I'm not making an accusation. But I still wouldn't let him hang around my kids.

I suppose if the circumstances were so unbearable you could just log off.
