Why people laugh at Creationists
Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

How does that fail to answer your question? You asked why my life had purpose. Why would you not accept my answer?

Can we quit beating around the bush and have you re-ask the question the way you meant... "How can my life have purpose without a God?" I think that's how you're trying to steer this questioning anyway, which your potential analogy regarding "A loving father"...

I can answer that my life even outside of my daughter has a great deal of purpose, albeit from different sources than others find it. One can give unlimited love and compassion without needing an omnipotent God to attribute it to. To care for others, and to love, and to share your life with good people, all of these things are done every day by believers and atheists alike. Having a differing opinion on religion doesn't change your ability to love and be awed by the wonders of life. Apple pie tastes the same to the man who believes God made the world in 6 days, and the man who says "There is no such thing".

Seems logical, its been 20 or 30 days since the last christian splinter group formed.

....my analogy only points to you imitating God, because you are created in his image, likeness...
