I know I may be screwed , but need advice.
I drove 100 miles for a guy on craigslist who needed a deck redone. He kept working my price down, but I do not have much work these days and am doing the job for pennies on the dollar.

He wrote me a check for $2500 so I could get him all the supplies needed at a cheaper price to help him out. I drove back home, ordered the supplies and try to call him and realize I lost his phone number, and can't get a hold of him.

I drove back and found I could not find his home again. What should I do?

I hope he doesnt try to say He didn't sign the check and accuse me of stealing or something crazy like that.
