What's your traditional holiday dinner?

Does your family do a traditional (Christmas, Chanukah, etc.) dinner? Or do you do a dinner based on family history?

We do a Swedish dinner at home for Christmas and I'm heading out tonight for a "Sons of Norway" dinner in Mission Hills. It's Scandinavian food, not solely Norwegian food and sans lutefisk.

Just curious if your dinner is turkey/ham with typical sides, or some interesting foods from the homeland.

We have the usual... turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. for dinner on Christmas Day. Then for New Years, we have ham and blackeyed peas.

Dear Santa,

I think that it would be in your best interest to just keep flying past Fever's place this year. Just sayin'.

We do two. The first is a Swedish dinner complete with lutefisk, potataskorv, meatballs, lingonberries, home made rye bread and homemade cardamom bread

The second is a huge prime rib a couple days later

We traditionally make Hot Toddy's and Ben and Jerry's for our alcoholic beverages.
Otherwise the food is typical Mashed potatoes, green beans, potato salad, ham, turkey.

Anything like Tom and Jerry? Or is there a new ice cream drink I am unaware of?

Usually appetizers and drinks at night on Christmas Eve and everyone opens presents. Then Christmas night is steak and shrimp.
