We have all heard about what happened in Aurora, Co, and I think that Gun Control is going to be a huge topic in the following months.

What measures need to be taken? Do you have any ideas that will help prevent this kind of thing from happening again as it pertains to guns?

"Slop through fertilizer" indicates to me that Dr. Direck thinks this refers to poop. Manure. Scat. Fecal material.

Ammonium nitrate is a dry nitrogen fertilizer one pours from a vessel. It is not excrement. And the other two agents are diesel fuel and a source of ignition.

I am always amazed how misinformed, uninformed, or people who intentionally ignore simple facts often put forth impassioned pleas of one kind or another formulating their arguements with no real understanding of an issue.

Since Israel armed their teachers in the 70's, school shootings are virtually non-existent. The evil people just strap on bombs now over there and blow up people

New to this thread.

Just curious, as I'm sure some on here own them, but what is the reason to have a weapon that can put out projectiles at that rate of fire?

It fires no faster than any other semi auto.... all legal guns 1 trigger pull = 1 shot

Also because you do not want to be outgunned by someone trying to kill you.

how about the fact we've had four mass shootings this year, and six in the 50 before that? Sure epidemic as we know doesn't fit here, but if I got one DUI every ten years ago before, and suddenly got four in one year, I'd wonder what's going on, and maybe think there was a problem.

Just to have one. No other real reason. It looks cool n scary in Their collection. At least that's what ive gathered from reading this thread.

But see, we are not at a constant state of war with an enemy state. If our teachers all had to be armed I'd think something is really wrong in America, let's find a way to end that need.

I was raised around guns, not those type of guns, but hunting rifles and shotguns.

I guess were I get into having a problem isn't necessarily fire rate, but clip size and reloading rate.

I don't really see the point of having a firearm like that, but I will admit I'm not as familiar with them so I'm coming here to possibly be informed.

Where I'm hung up is, again, the semi automatic feature.

And like that says, its the person who's hands the gun is in.

Which, is my biggest complaint. We can't change people, so we have to do a better job making sure these don't get in the wrong hands.
