Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I will continue to state...these ass wipes would never be so insulting to Domers face. It's not a threat. Its a fact. But behind a keyboard, the feel compelled to use the vilest, lowest verbiage possible.

I disagree with his draft idea. It did have some sound premise. However, I have no doubt that the riff raff wouldn't speak to him like that in person.

These jack offs have tried to twist everything I have said to look cool...and you think I look like a massive douche?

Luv level acumen? I may just be guilty of that. But Domer knows quite a bit about football. There are some writers that may agree with him.

He's trying to make a case for ILB at #1. I don't care how big he is, I'd laugh in his face for suggesting that. It's just plain retarded ND-homer bullshit.

And yet, being of merit, your response, though a bit strong, is no where near as rude and vulgar as the pile on coven...

Matthews is a pass-rushing, OLB. Not even remotely the same thing as Ray Lewis or Te'o.

You know absolutely nothing about football and I gather you've spent exactly zero time in any capacity learning about it in a higher level than junior high school.
I guess i just imagined the college scholarship i earned in football. A full year under center? Wow that makes a world of difference.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...hiefs-problems

"The 2013 class does have one prospect who appears to have a shot at being a first-round pick and a successful quarterback in the NFL immediately, and it's not Matt Barkley of USC. Rather, that honor would go to Geno Smith.

Smith is a versatile quarterback with all the traits needed to be a franchise quarterback. He is huge at 6'3" and 215 pounds, but fast enough to extend plays with his feet in a similar manner to what Luck and Griffin have been able to do in the pocket.

The 22-year-old Mountaineer had a jaw-dropping year in 2012. He threw for 4,004 yards, 40 touchdowns and only six interceptions. His quarterback rating was an exceptional 164.6. Smith was also able to flash his athleticism with 155 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

His numbers included an amazing 656 yard, eight touchdown performance in a 70-63 victory over Baylor late in the season.
Smith is obviously a raw talent, but with the right coaching staff and surroundings his transition to the professional level could be a smooth one.

That's where Kansas City comes into the picture.

The Chiefs have an elite running back in Jamaal Charles and a crop of supporting skill players such as Tony Moeaki, who will give Smith plenty of options on every down. The offensive line is still spotty, but Smith's athleticism will allow him to compensate.

Recently, ESPN's Adam Schefter explained that Smith hasn't impressed scouts, and he believes Smith could fall out of the first round (h/t Arrowhead Pride).

Is Geno Smith the answer for the Chiefs' problems?
Yes
No
Submit Vote vote to see results
Whether or not Smith has a chance to fall to the second round, the Chiefs cannot afford to take that gamble. He's a special prospect who could change the franchise, and he's arguably the best in his class.

It's unreasonable to place major expectations on Smith's shoulders when comparing him to Luck or Griffin, because prospects such as those are extremely rare. That doesn't mean Smith cannot have a meaningful impact in Kansas City considering his impressive skill set.

Consistency at the quarterback position is what the Chiefs need. An added wrinkle in the offense rather than typical pocket passers could help things as well, and will add some creativity to what has been a stale offense over the past few seasons.

Smith has the answers to the Chiefs' offensive woes, and needs to be the first player Kansas City selects in the 2013 NFL draft. "

Just to remind you all, I still ****ing hate Bleacher Report.
Good article but I don't think Geno is all that "raw" the only major issue he has IMO is his footwork when throwing and that's easily fixable but hardly makes him a "raw" talent

Funny how a college QB doesn't differentiate between an ILB and a pass-rushing OLB. Maybe a few too many concussions?

Mother of ****.

I can't leave you children alone for an hour without this thread going off the rails.

Look - the draft is a very long ways away and at some point my employers are going to expect some work product from me. I'm not going to be able to school-marm you impudent youngsters into behaving yourselves so at some point, please try to un**** yourselves and only speak when you have some form of substance to add.

Yep.

He came to a thread about GENO SMITH and pissed in everybody's Cheerios. Douche move#1.

Then you come in here and start telling people they wouldn't talk like that "to his face". Douche move #2.
