Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

Here's the Kent Hovind Theory:

Do not believe in traditions simply because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

So Jesus is dead? Wow that's kinda cool, so would that be like a suicide / murder kinda thing like a Belcher maybe?

I mean he sent him on a suicide mission and he got murdered because god wanted it that way. That makes more sense than the rest of the bible. I guess the follow up question would be if he's not dead then how did he die for us? (assuming you will say he's not really dead)

Not just christians either. ALL superstitions. And keep them out of the science class unless you are willing to have scientists come teach at your Sunday school.

I am happy you find happiness in your beliefs. This great country was founded on people having the freedom to believe as they choose. As long as no belief is favored or forced on anyone I have no issue with any religion. I hold different beliefs than you. That said Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you also~

I don't care if you pray. You see, here in Kansas, we have a BOE that wants to teach creationism next to science. That's who I'm talking about when I say to keep it out of schools.

Really? Well, killing and stealing are generally covered. Lying is sometimes covered, such as if under oath. And...that's about it.

sorry I left out the most important. Jesus is alive with the Father. He rose from the dead on the 3rd day. He died a sinners death for our benefit..in our place so that we can have eternal life in Heaven.

Nah, I don't agree with the second part. A nation is built upon its law and our law is derived from many sources. A few of the ten commandments don't really fit in any kind of legal sense and the ones that do are, for the most part, common in many other major societies.

Here's a chunk of a letter that Ben Franklin wrote to James Parker in 1751 regarding the Iroquois Confederacy:

It would be a strange thing if Six Nations of ignorant savages should be capable of forming a scheme for such an union, and be able to execute it in such a manner as that it has subsisted ages and appears indissoluble; and yet that a like union should be impracticable for ten or a dozen English colonies, to whom it is more necessary and must be more advantageous, and who cannot be supposed to want an equal understanding of their interests.
