Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Watched Ted. Meh. All the funny parts were in the previews. MacFarlene needs to stick to 30 minute cartoons on FOX.

Oh, and we watched a movie in the "fork and screen" deal at the theater, 100000% worth it. Never watching a movie again the normal way.

Great movie. New info, great plot etc

Finally got around to watching The Amazing Spider-Man. I liked it quite a bit. The villain conflict was a little shallow and rushed, perhaps. But it's a really promising start to a rebooted franchise. Garfield and Stone were lights out. Their chemistry was red-hot and spot-on.

Looking forward to the next one.

Not really a BAD movie, just not good. Probably Denzel's worst movie the past decade.

Rented Bourne Legacy last night... WOW... LOVED it, i'm surely not the first person to say its probably the best one.

Just breakneck pacing, never a dull moment, Renner is awesome and brings a different, slightly more human element to the character, i love the way the story runs concurrent with Damons Bourne... killer story and a killer all around movie.

Really? The whole movie was one big chase scene IMO. Cool action stuff but nothing worthy plot-wise. The Bourne novels have also crushed my opinion of the movies FWIW.

Watched Memento. Very good movie, but I expected the twist at the end to be better.
Spoiler!
Still a very good movie. Chris Nolan still has never disappointed me.

I gave it a C. Up from the D it would have gotten because Kate Beckinsale is a goddess.

But other than her, yeah, it was completely unnecessary and even dumber than the original, which was at least a twisted-fun good time.

I can't believe people really enjoyed They Live.

The fight scene in the back alley may be the worst of all time.

If you havent watched Lawless yet, do yourself a favor and get it TONIGHT.

A totally awesome movie, Tom Hardy man... that guy IS THE TRUTH... many have tried to claim the "new brando" title, but they're pretenders.

He'd make Russel Crowe cower behind his rugby team, i plan to read the book its based on as soon as i can find it.
