As an aside we do actually have a photograph of the big bang. It is a fact, not a theory. With your knowledge of religion you must know the bible says and I'm paraphrasing, God said, Let there be light and spoke it into existence.
When a person speaks, they exhale forcing warm air, moisture and other minute particles outward into space which as these particles travel through space, cool. I don’t see a difference in the creation of the universe through the Big Bang and God speaking it into existence.
And, when you mention the “gap of knowledge” and what scientists don’t know. Isn’t it plausible those two concepts are closer to truth and it just might be that God spoke the universe into exsistance through the Big Bang and science is actually proving God’s existence?

And, since you started the thread with slaughtered children , God couldn’t save those children, he, Jesus and prayer haven’t be allowed in schools for a very long time so don't know why he’s to blame when it’s the concerted efforts of the anti-theists, atheists and agnostics to keep him out. Should they are be blamed for allowing it to happen?

I really hate when people say this. Nobody has taken God out of schools. Any student in the US can say a prayer in school. Students can lead other students in prayer. The only thing that isn't allowed, is a teacher or administrator teaching religious belief. That's so kids don't confuse people's personal beliefs with actual educational material.

And just the thought of an omnipotent creator not being "Allowed" certain places by his own creations is just a completely absurd idea. If the Christian God exists, then he'll allow himself anywhere he damn well pleases. Can you just be honest and drop the silly rhetoric that has never made one lick of sense? Anti-theists, atheists and agnostics are not fighting against teaching religious belief in school. Normal thinking people of every end of the religious spectrum have voted to separate education and religion. That's what was decided as best by everyone. So don't act like you're under attack by evil atheists.

And on top of that, if you would prefer that your child be taught personal belief right along side factual information, then enroll your child into a religious institution of your choosing. But please, stop using this absurd illogical rhetoric when trying to blame others for the ills of the world.

The really cool thing on the big bang is that it was predicted that there should be a return image of the Cosmic Background radiation. Oh course at that point (the 40s) the was no equipment that was able to test it. Once we had the equipment there it was just like the critics who said it had to be there for it to be valid.

Facts are not laws. Its not like there is a Theory of Mars. Mars exists, it is a fact not a law. I am among those who identify myself as agnostic. I have posted in this thread stating that anyone who is offended by Merry Christmas wishes to be offended. I have no problem with people celebrating holidays. My beliefs fall in with many of our founding fathers or are close to them. I do not know what set the universe in motion, but I am reasonably certain whatever that force is, it has nothing to do with what happens in it. What gives your beliefs special privilege that they should be taught in school as fact to children who's parents may hold different religious beliefs? Which of the almost 34,000 versions through out the world should be taught? (some list this number as high as 40,000) Are you comfortable with all religious beliefs being taught in schools? Your "God is not allowed in schools" comment has been making the rounds in emails. The first time I read this nonsense was a child writing God a letter saying he is scared to go to school. God replies sorry I am not allowed in schools. This is something I would expect to see on a bumper sticker not in a serious discussion~

There doesn't have to be. It's all in how you choose to interpret the Bible. You could say that a Supreme Being shared information as visions, and that those visions were recorded to the best of the ability of the somewhat primitive men who had them.
