This isn't a tin foil hat thing. Why is Quinn the closest thing Cassel has had to competition in four years? And by the way, Quinn is worse than Cassel.

What is your case for Pioli to retain his job?

Don't believe I ever stated to have a case other than that "I don't ****ing care who the GM is in the event the Chiefs get their franchise/elite QB."

Pioli decides everything on this team, if you want tin foil hat stuff, I think maybe Pioli has already been told he won't be back. It could explain why there have been no late season signings or moves, (many of the resignings have happened in season.), and Crennel seems to be working without restriction, as far as who starts, a freedom Haley never seemed to have.

If I were to guess, Pioli has been striped of his power already.

Albert Brees has been defending Pioli tooth and nail for three last few months. Never has he deterred from his opinion that Pioli would stay. I think at this point he's just too stubborn to admit that he was wrong.

NFL Network PR Wank.

Stop and think about it. He works for the NFL Network, funded by the NFL. Pioli needs a little fun PR spin, he calls Albert up. When the true story goes down, the big dogs report the news.

Alberto Brier has never broken a story that wasn't giftwrapped by the NFL. He's a turd polisher, nothing more, nothing less.

Nice cushy gig tho...tip my cap to him.

That means to me, you're okay with Pioli staying as long as we get that "elite QB." I'm just saying, I don't want Pioli calling the shots on who that QB is, and who the coach for that QB is. I no longer trust Pioli's eye for talent or coaches.
