Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Glad I've already got mine.

I also bought two 20-round Colt AR-15 mags for $20 each.

If anybody is looking for 20-round or 30-round Colt AR-15 mags, OMB Guns in Olathe has some in stock.

I couldn't believe it when I saw an entire rack of hi-cap mags right as you walk in the door. They are $20 for the 20-rounders, and $50 for the 30-rounders. The price seems a little high on the 30-rounder, but at least they have them in stock. I didn't look to see if they had any other brand of AR-15 mags. I think I might go back on the weekend to pick up some more.
Price gouging at its finest. $50 is outrageous, but I suppose if your desperate for one.

True. But that might be a bargain if Congress or the president take action to ban hi-cap mags soon.

I can't stop thinking about the Springfield xds. Smaller than my Kimber and reading great things about it.

I'd love to get one. I've been thinking about selling my Kimber 1911 3" to purchase the xds. Bad decision?

I'm kind of banking on nothing happening. I have a few purchases I'd like to make and can't justify paying the current prices, so it's more out of hope than anything. All this gun control shit came at exactly the wrong time for me. I've been saving and thinking about getting an AR for months now. Then by the time I decided to buy one before they are banned, everything is on backorder or twice as much as it was.

This gun control BS came at the worst time for me, too. I hope nothing happens, but you never know what these politicians will do. I ended up buying some mags "just in case" something happens.

I thought about it prior to getting the S&W, but in the end I went with the larger magazine capacity.

I bought a Ruger SR9C with the same mindframe.

The thing I liked most about it is that even though it comes stock with a 10-round clip, you can change it out with the regular Ruger 9mm clips that hold 17-rounds.

They have a cool adaptor piece that mounts on the bottom of the clip that also extends the grip.

Shoot me a PM with a price on the Kimber if you decide to sell it.
