I will admit, i do not know much of alex smith, not even when he was coming out of college. i do know that all i've heard out of San Fran for the past few years is how terrible Alex smith is until last year when he had (what it looks from the outside) a cassel 2010 type of season where he played game manager style football and relied on his defense.

Now I'm reading all sorts of retarded bits about actually trading draft picks for him and skipping out on drafting a first round qb this year.

Is Alex smith just a game manager qb with a good coach in harbaugh?
Why does harbaugh start keepernick over smith if he is so good?

I'm not buying it.

For the first time in a long time we have our choice of the best qb in the draft (geno). We take him.

I believe Alex Smith leads all NFL QBs in rating this year.

If we can get Harbaugh to join Smith here, then do it. If not, don't.

You should trade your 1st for Alex, he is a proven young QB , I think Geno will be a bust if you take him.

There is a good site that you can go to and see for your ****ing self. It's called hailredskins mock draft database.

Every mock updated since mid Dec has Geno one.

Hell I would say 90 percent of all have Geno one
