How many times have you seen people make the post, "Draft a QB. If it doesn't work out, keep trying until you get it right"? I've read a variation of that post probably 1000 different times on this forum by dozens of different posters.

75% of this board just wants the Chiefs to try drafting a QB in the first round. Period. They just want to know what it feels like. We're now approaching 30 years since Todd Blackledge was drafted. A large portion of this forum wasn't even around then.

So now if Geno Smith doesn't work out, there will be hell to pay?

You've been pimping Smith, to a fault, for months. We're still 8 weeks from the Combines and Smith's team was less than impressive for the second half of the season (and Bowl game).

Smith may be the #1 player taken in the draft but if he's not, I won't give a ****, especially if Andy Reid is at the helm.

It appears that Reid can coach up a quarterback. If true, it opens up a wealth of possibilities both in the draft and otherwise.

Based on his track record with QBs, that's one thing I would be pretty darn comfortable with.
