Wouldn't Dorsey rather go for a job where he has control of the roster instead of coming to KC (despite the relationship with Reid) where he doesn't?

From what we've heard from TBG and others in the media, it's almost a done deal for Dorsey here.

To get a front office of Dorsey and Heckert would be tremendous!

Also it seems Shurmur would be the OC and Pederson is the QB coach. Not sure if Childress would have a spot or not unless he coached a different position?

Former Browns GM Tom Heckert has canceled his general manager interview with the Jets.

Either Heckert is headed to Kansas City with Andy Reid, or he's seen writing on the wall that the Jets will be hiring Tom Gamble. Heckert is tentatively expected to land a front-office job with the Chiefs, but not necessarily GM.
