Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get ***** and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Thank you. Geno was going to be a good option anyway, but the Reid card takes it over the top.

The thing that had me smitten with Geno although he struggled recently, is his football IQ and he's a football nerd. I was excited to see him get to the line and audible into a play that was effective. Thats what weve lacked and all our ****ing QBs could do is OMAHA OMAHA into a run and get our RBs killed

That's as much as Tebow ran last year, and as much as Vick has run in any single season of his career.

So are you still denying he relied heavily on his scrambling ability this season?

There's a difference between "relying on your legs" and "using your legs to extend plays". He's doing the same thing Aaron Rodgers does, he's just more athletically gifted, although they do script some specific run plays for him. But he's still not a "running QB" and I would imagine as his NFL career continues, he'll be running less rather than more.

(Especially if he's destroyed his ACL)

You just don't throw for his completion % (65.6) or his ypa (8.14) if you're just a runner at QB. Much less his 20/5 TD/INT ratio.

Whatever.

I've seen how this forum has "Fallen in Love" with shit QB's over the years, whether it be Ricky ****ing Stanzi or Chase Daniel(s) or Blaine Gabbert, which just happen to be some of the same people pimping Smith.

Show me a consensus of scouts that he's a lock at #1, TODAY, and we can have a discussion.

Scrambling is different than rushing.

RGIII is NOT a rushing quarterback. He's had to run because his offensive line sucks ****ing ass in pass protection.

Exactly.

So the LAST people I'm going to rely on for their opinion are guys that have said, repeatedly, that Stanzi is an NFL QB that's definitely on par or superior to Cousins, and that Geno Smith is the best QB in the draft, bar none.

Excuse me for being somewhat skeptical and for having my own thought process.

Geno has a lot of tools to be a franchise QB and Reid can help hide/fix his problems.

But you know what? The same thing can be said for Tyler Wilson and Matt Barkley.
