Geno has been in the Air-Raid for the past 2 years which is a spinoff of the WCO and Run and Shoot. It's all about pre-snap reads (audibles) on the defense and timing routes.

Ok cool thanks. Makes sense from what Ive seen. The pre-snap read to me is important because that's a must in the NFL. Teams do a lot of movement on defense and give different looks. Ive seen him see one thing, audible into another play and the play counter what the D was trying and be very effective

Yep, it takes a very smart QB/film geek to successfully run the Air-Raid and Geno has been labeled as that.

You also saw RG3 successfully run it at Baylor.

But I don't get why people get excited about Tannehill and don't like Geno Smith. I feel like Geno's floor is Sam Bradford. I guess it all depends on the situation obviously, but seeing coaches have success adjusting to Russell Wilson and Kaepernick, surely someone can take advantage of Geno's accuracy.
