Cassel did, does, and will always suck
I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

Ya know, besides people stating that Cassel is a good guy, which I disagree with completely, it is also common for me to read another statement that is often used in reference to him. That statement is something along the lines of: "He would be a good backup." I disagree with that completely. Matt Cassel does not belong on any team as even a #3. He is that terrible. With there being 32 teams in the NFL, no one can convince me that there are not 96 QB's in this world who at the very minimum, have the potential to outperform him. There are a lot of freaking people out there...people with guts, people who have probably slipped between the cracks, unnoticed. Tough dudes who were raised to be tough...I presume that Cassel was probably babied to a certain extent. Cassel's mom was a freaking emmy-winning set designer...and since literally the only thing I have ever like about Cassel was his acting job in the K Swiss commercial, I think he would make a better theatre geek and/or actor dude than he would make a QB. I'd say he should have followed the path of his mother, but then am reminded of the millions he has accumulated...being a professional football fraud. A dumbass who couldn't live up to his sob story (not starting at QB in college, decent QB in NFL) which would have made a heartwarming storyline if he had.

This dude would NOT make a decent backup for any team. If he were the backup of my favorite team, well, the Chiefs...I would basically just call the season a lost cause once my starter went down. Backups should make you feel at least a little more safe.

I can't stand this guy and can't wait until we cut him.

Matt Cassel did, does and will always suck....in every way possible (except maybe being a set designer since it seems to be in his blood).

This. That was one of the worst days of my life and I KNEW the ship was ****ed and sunk at that point. I tried to like him when he flashed but the hate was just too strong in the end.
