Sounds like as good of a control mechanism as I've ever heard of.

What's your personal opinion of Hell, KC? I've heard it as a place of eternal suffering, and I've heard it as a place where you are just simpley cut off from the prescence of God for all of time. Which do you buy, or do you think of it as something else.

I don't believe we go to hell. If God is love, he isn't going to send you somewhere to be tortured. And he isn't going to give satan the satisfaction of doing such. The Greek and Hebrew words that were originally translated to hell simply meant a fire pit where dead body's were thrown, along with trash ect.
