Why people laugh at Creationists

Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

[EDIT New video here]

So on with the show:

Here's the Kent Hovind Theory:

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions simply because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

You never touched this by the way...at some point you have deemed science as not credible. Exactly what point is that.

With over 33,000 versions of Christianity out there, I would think this would be a subject you would remain silent on this while hoping the conversation passed. The counteractions in the New Testament are too many to list without even mentioning the variety of versions to choose from. The rather small sampling of people here who hold the same title as far as their beliefs go cannot even agree on much less hell. Disagree and you will face eternal suffering" is the closing line for all of you. The most staunch defenders of religion are often those who have at best read part of the writings they readily defend.

Each of you are certain that the beliefs your mom and dad chose for you or you stumbled upon is the one and only way. There is not another subject in life where a person will encounter this level of unwarranted arrogance. All anyone needs to do is look to the middle east to see how this type of thinking corrupts a society. Before you even start look at history and see how barbarically your religion behaved when it was making an offer someone could not refuse.

I am very proud to live in a country that protects personal beliefs, and more importantly provides no special privilege to any one of them. This prevents fundamentalist assholes from gaining a strong hold for whatever magic they think I should believe in~

What fun would that be?

If I were, God, I wouldn't even do that. There'd be no game to play.

My mom and dad were agnostic, and what do you know people from all religions or lack thereof use it to gain advantage. Color me shocked. That was a nice try though rnr. I have always felt the spirit within me. I suppose you feel the same way about fundamentalist assholes that valued themselves as God right? Like Mao and Stalin?

Well good for you, right now I have a feeling of hunger so I will eat. You do not need to act on my feeling and I will not threaten you with punishment if you choose not to~

And I agree with your last statement, I applaud anything anyone believes. I applaud anyone for trying to find answers that fit them.
Regarding this... Why do you think answers should "Fit" the people searching for them? That indicates that your search is beginning with predetermined results in mind. You're looking for an answer that satisfies your preconceived opinions. That's not an indication of truthfulness, but a method of making truth what you want it to be.

What do you do with answers that don't "Fit" you?

Well, your post would indicate otherwise.

If you "applaud anything anyone believes" then you really don't believe anything.

I mean it condridicts it's self. I had a professor go off about carbon dating and evolution and what not for a while. Then I had s basic philosophy class teach us that who really knows if 1 plus 1 is two. So who really knows if carbon dating is correct. It's basic phiolshy, yet in its simplest forum really condridicts any scientifical "fact". Hard to convey what I am trying to say by text.

You misunderstood my point, which I didn't go into much detail so I understand why. You are looking for little pieces of my post to try and build a "case" against my beliefs. Fit, as in whatever they believe and believe is the truth. Don't look into a single word so much.
