Bucs not planning to extend Josh Freeman

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...mans-contract/

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the Bucs wonít be extending Freemanís contract, which expires after the 2013 season. And as Stroud explains it, the decision not to sign Freeman to a new deal could be part of a plan by coach Greg Schiano, who inherited Freeman, to get his own quarterback. And Freeman may change Schianoís mind only by playing so well this season that Freeman leaves the Bucs with no other option than to use the franchise tag or sign him to a long-term deal.

One possibility would be to apply the non-exclusive tag and to see if anyone is willing to sign Freeman to an offer sheet and give up a pair of first-round picks. That would enable the Bucs to pull a reverse Keyshawn, giving up a player and getting two first-round picks 14 years after they gave up two first-round picks to get Keyshawn Johnson from the Jets.

The Bucs likely would settle for less, since the alternative will be to let Freeman walk away.

You just lost this argument, dude. You brought up Cassel. You may as well have brought up Hitler.

Cassel needed to GTFO because of EVERYTHING. Staring down his receiver was just one problem. If he had fixed that part of his game he'd still be dogshit.

Your reading comprehension needs work. Never said Geno was Cassel. I said that he's showing the same problem of staring down his WR.

Just because they both showed the same problem doesn't mean that Geno is shitty in every other aspect of the game like Cassel.

I really don't care what decision they make as long they get a qb that a championship can be won with. Right now arguements can be made for upwards of 5 guys, things will change between now and the draft 100 times.

I KNOW THAT. THAT'S WHY I SAID IT.

Why did you bring up KC's fanbase, then?

As much as I like Geno, Id take Freeman, pick 13 and some more picks for the no 1 pick. Id let Freeman work with Andy and his staff

Just search this thread for your posts dipshit. Still don't see a breakdown of Tyler Wilson that doesn't mention Geno Smith.

Because guess what? You DON'T HAVE A ****ING CLUE what you're talking about. You might want to talk to NewFin, he's actually seen Wilson play.

Chiefs are finally in a position to take the best QB in a draft and people are eager to trade the pick to a team for a QB that is at best "just good enough."

In the first 5 minutes, he throws to his second read, 1 time. Locks on to a wr at 2:20, throws an awful INT.

4:50 locks on to a wr, gets ball batted down, starts crying to his oline to keep the defenders down.

5:27 mark misses a wide open WR for a TD that was his initial read.

5:59 locks on to a wr and gets him killed

6:10 awful pass down the middle forcing it into triple coverage, first read. Cant do that in the NFL

Just before the 7:00 minute mark, locks on to a WR underneath again.

So far, thru 7 minutes he hasnt' completed a ball more than about 8 yards down the field, most of the yards are after the catch.

This is all I can watch right now, got other shit to do. And I like Wilson. Just showing what you can do when you are a negative asshole
