Isn't it time to let Sportshrink come back?

Hey Direckshun and Literature, how about letting sportshrink off the hook on your election bets so he can come back to the forum. Maybe let him back just in time for the inauguration or something. He's been a good sport and lived up to his bet AFAIK.

Ii'd suggest that it would be very gracious for Literature and Direckshun to consider offering to modify the terms of the bet. Perhaps they could consider allowing Shrink to post in existing threads, while prohibiting him from starting new ones. I'm sure that it's frustrating to him that he can't contribute to the "Is Obama in trouble?" thread. I would further propose that he should be prohibited in posting in any thread that existed prior to the election. That prohibition would prevent Shrink or others bumping old threads that might serve as nothing more than launching pads for the kind material that spawned the wagers in the first place. In addition, perhaps Shrink's sig could be an acknowledgement if their generosity. ("This post was made possible by the generosity if Direckshun and Literature, who would encourage everyone to choose their words carefully before they hit the 'post' button." or something like that.)

I would further propose a single clearinghouse thread for new thought or links that he might wish to share aside from his participation in the threads that would be allowed to him. The idea behind that measure would be to prevent him from posting barely relevant material in ongoing threads.

Any plan at all, of course relies on a level of forgiveness and inclusion that I might not be able to show in similar circumstances.

I like this. He's not worthless. He provides entertainment like crazy, and his vitriol isn't anywhere near the level of some of the posters in this forum. He's also very clear about his feelings. He's not the passive aggressive type. I would support this, but only with his sig being owned by D, and Lit.

This is a good idea. Give him a dedicated thread to do his thing in. Then we all get the entertainment value of his rants while keeping the rest of the board a bit more sane.

If I wanted to leave forever, I wouldn't need you or Literature to help me. I'd like you guys to let SS back and if you have to send me away to do it, I'm willing, but no, I don't particularly want to be banished.
