After the fact - KC's smoking ban, three+ years later

So, now that we have had time to adjust and absorb the smoking ban, how do you feel about it? Was it a good thing, a bad thing, still an unholy infringement on our "civil rights", or do you just not care one way or another?

I know here in Illinois a local owner I'm friends with installed a state of the art air filteration system in his lounge only for Illinois to pass a smoking ban a month later...he literally wasted thousands of dollars installing this device.

I have one better for you. A few years ago down in Tyler, TX the city council arbitrarily passed a no smoking ordinance. Now in the lead up to this happening There was a Buffalo Wild Wings franchise going in and they had discussions with the council asking if they glassed the bar in making it a separate room and put in an air filtration system if smoking would be allowed there. They were told yes. And then shortly before they opened the ordinance was passed. No smoking allowed in side PERIOD. Not even in a closed off room with air filtration systems. They totally f#cked BWW.
