Not defending the stiffarms, but the and-1 was a legit foul on Withey. The reffing was horrid all around last night. Touch fouls one minute, thuggery with no-calls the next.

I'm perpetually amazed by the whining about refs every game. I can say in my life as a ku fan only 1 game sticks out: 2000 Duke when they gave em the tourney game with awful calls last. 5 min. Outside of that? Can't recall many outrages.


Yet every game thread I see ku fans moaning about the refs and anti ku fans claiming we get special treatment.

I wasn't trying to imply that it was dirty. I didn't see it, and folks on phog.net pretty much said it was incidental. I just hope he's OK.

Me too. I was listening to it on the radio and the announcer said Habiger "undercut" him.



Then as they talked about it, because they had to - he was down for 15 minutes, it seemed less "undercut" and more accident. But my buddy said he flat biffed the dunk and the Habiger happened to be around.

I get tired of it in pretty much every sport, by pretty much every fan base... and sometimes it's like I'm watching a different game. And it's not necessarily calling out the bad fouls and what not, it's that now every call means the game is somehow fixed, as opposed to simple incompetence. And if people really do think it's that bad or that most games are fixed, WTF even watch it? I've sat at games and listened to people cry for the entire freakin' game... seems like a waste of time and money if you hate it that much.

As far as KU, last year's game in Manhattan definitely stands out... it was laughable (mostly because the worst calls were going KU's way ). And at the end of the game vs. Duke last season.
