Gotta shout for the 'drop the burgers, cold cock the junkman' scene. Somebody has residual rage from dealing with Swearingen.
BTW, Olyphant fans would do well to listen him visit The Nerdist Podcast. Hardwick is the suckup he always is, but Timmy comes of relateable, centered, and FUNNY. Lots of great inside scoop, the funniest being that
Spoiler!

This series reminds me alot of some of the old Stephen J Cannell stuff from the 70s and 80s. Stuff like Rockford Files, Hardcastle and McCormick, Hunter, Riptide, heck even Greatest American Hero.
Just the anti-heros with flaws and offbeat plots. Same sort of basic feel. The writing here is alot better and has a more serial, continuous plotline but some of those shows were alot better than they were given credit for, especially Rockford.

This past episode stands up with many great movies, plays, novels. Reminded me in spots of Pulp Fiction, the religious debate between Boyd and Billy analogized to Jules 'path of the righteous man' speech,' Wynn Duffie's dealer execution akin to shooting Marvin for it's suddenness.

That character was a bit sudden but they way they wrote him in made decent sense. Raylan knew him in high school and he needed someone he could trust to keep an eye on Arlo's house. In the past, he just wasn't needed. In reality, it gets Patton Oswalt on my screen, so that's a good thing.

That guy was also in the HBO show The Pacific and The Social Network. He is a pretty good actor. He held his own with Goggins in that scene, no small feat.

Art is easily one of the best written characters on this show, and it has nothing BUT well written characters.
This season looks to be as good as they've done yet, and that's saying something. IMHO, of course. |

Solid Ep last night. I really enjoyed Boyds scenes with the traveling salvation show. It was some classic Crowder. A bit of a shocker at the end too.
The line '''How about I put a little limp in that Gary Cooper walk" is classic. |

Goggins getting pastoral and revealing what was behind the curtain with the traveling church was awesome.

My only complaint for this season, is that henchmen are getting whacked and there is no consequence. Last week, Duffy offed his heroin salesman, Boyd offered to clean up - but what's that mean? The body magically disappears, and loved ones ask no questions? Prior seasons did not have magically disappearing carnage.

So did Lindsey get kidnnaped by the ex or an accomplice?
I like how they seem to be getting Tim and Racheal more invovled this season. Although i dont recall her being married? Continuity error?

I wasn't under the impression that she was kidnapped. She ran off with her husband. Raylan was just another mark for their scam. That's how I took it.

Me too. She used him and is on her way. He will find them and hopefully get some justice. So far, Boyd is great and Raylan needs to have more shooting chances.....and Wynona would be great to have back.
