Police, neighbors search Lenexa neighborhood for missing 3-year-old
My little dude just turned 3, so this hits really close to home. I just keep picturing him out in the freezing cold barefoot Keep an eye out Lenexans.

The boy is barefoot and wearing only cartoon car pajamas. He might have left his apartment in the 9500 block of Monrovia with the family dog, a white and tan Yorkie, and could be carrying a small, black and gray purse.

His mother called police when she saw he was gone about 4:45 a.m. Police said he has let himself out before.

Surrounding agencies are helping Lenexa officers look for the boy, and his neighbors have joined in the search.

Alone and in pairs, some with flashlights, they are looking in bushes, alleys and backyards around the neighborhood near Oak Park Mall.

Chris Shanks is searching alongside Gus, her chocolate Labrador. “I thought maybe the boy’s dog might be drawn to him,” she said.
