Brawl Erupts At Food Stamp Office In East St. Louis

A dispute over a spot in line at a food stamp office downstate escalated into a full-fledged brawl.

The fight on Tuesday was captured on video and shows at least four women wrestling and punching each other.

At one point, the video shows two women grabbing each other while a
third punches one of them on the back of the head. At another point, a
woman walks across the office and punches another person in the face.
Security officers struggled to end the chaos. It took them several
minutes to separate the group and restore order. Some of the people
involved in the fight initially refused to leave.

The incident happened at the Illinois Department of Human Services
office in East St. Louis, reportedly only a few blocks from the police
station there.

Judging by your earlier statement about the "one token white guy" there is no way you watched the video

This is not about race, it's about 42% of Americans on some sort of government assistance and a growing number of those who feel they are entitled to free money eventhough the have done nothing to ever contribute to society.

The government would not be able to give handouts if it were not for those who bust their asses every day to earn an honest days wages for an honest days work. If it keeps going this way, the ticks will suck the dog dry

Yes all of the people who fell on hard times due to a world wide financial meltdown/depression- worse than the one that started in 1929 -are horrible people. I get your point, I just don't agree with it.

My wife works with those "ticks" every day. Those "ticks" you speak of would love to work at a job that could support them or their family. The "ticks" for the most part find themselves in a situation not of their making. Its not their fault the economy went to shit. Do you know how bad it really is out there ? I do , I hear the stories every single day. Are there a percentage of people who abuse the system..yes there are , just like any portion of society you will have those who take advantage. The vast majority of "ticks" want to work and are embarrassed to find themselves in the situation they are in. God for bid you find yourself labeld a "ticks" if you fall on hard times. I just hope there is some one like my wife there to help you out, and not someone like yourself to pass judgment and assume.

We should have amended the Constitution to allow people to vote only if they've been off the government tit for at least the past 24 months. Too late now.
