So clearly we have an assault weapon problem. I suspect every other major city statistics are similar, and the country's as well.

They did, but without the numbers of the victims that owned cats, I thought that it wouldn't be a fair comparison.

I read on another thread talking about the DF Bill and there was a blurb about the reasoning for the bill and it mentioned there have been 350 deaths by so called "Assault Weapons" since the ban expired. Which has been what 8 years? So thats roughly 44 a year.

If liberal politicians were serious about protecting the populace this would make more sense than an "Assault Weapon" ban. Not that I am advocating an alcohol ban. Just pointing out the ulterior motive of the liberal elite.

The safest city in America (Chicago, Ill) claims the life of a 15 year old girl that performed at Obama's inaguration. Thank goodness for that strict gun control.

CHICAGO - A 15-year-old majorette who performed at some of President Barack Obama's recent inauguration festivities has been shot to death in Chicago.

Police say Hadiya Pendleton was shot in the back Tuesday in a South Side park and died at a city hospital.

Authorities say Hadiya was one of about 12 teenagers sheltering from heavy rain under a canopy when a man jumped a fence, ran toward the group and opened fire. The man fled the scene in a vehicle. No arrests have been made.

Police do not believe Hadiya was the intended target of the shooting. A teenage boy was shot in the leg. Police did not release his name.

Hadiya belonged to the King College Prep High School band, which performed at several inaugural events in Washington, D.C.

A girl who performed at Obama's inauguration was killed by a stray bullet from an illegal handgun in Chicago. But nobody will talk about this, b/c if you ban guns the bad guys are supposed to not have them.
