Would you turn in your firearms??

Flat out, if your state or the Fed Gov passed a law similar to what NY did or what CA is trying to do, would you turn in any firearms or magazines that were suddenly deemed to be "illegal"?

I've sold all mine the last few weeks during the panic buying going on and spent it all on hookers and blow. I didn't vote because I don't have anything to turn in.

I would turn mine in 5 or 8 times at least, what a pleasure it would be.

I would do it, but I lost my only gun (a single shot bolt action .22 rifle) in a tragic boating accident in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Pete fails:

http://www.governor.ny.gov/2013/gun-reforms-faq
Q: I have an assault weapon. Do I have to give it up?

A: No. If you have an assault weapon, you can register it with the State Police. You have until April 15, 2014 to register your weapon. A form will be made available on this website no later than April 15, 2013. Under state and federal law, some people are not allowed to possess a weapon, such as convicted felons, individuals who have been involuntarily committed, or individuals currently under an order of protection. These people will not be able to register. There is no fee for registering.

That is NY. CA proposals are not affording such options.

They will be deemed illegal.

You don't have to turn them in, but you can't keep them.

There was a proposal announced at a press conference by key California Democrats. Given the political nature of the state, their proposals are very likely to be enacted into law. One of the proposals was to eliminate grandfathering of existing weapons newly deemed illegal, making possession of them a felony. I'll try to find a link.
