Ok bothers, sisters, friends and comrades, the election is upon us~

We are a mixed bag of nut cases who spend hours arguing on this website. I have been called the following here: Neocon, rightwing nut, libtard, moonbat and someone who must be either high or drunk. I would like to say some of this is unfair. I have discovered that just about everyone here thinks they are in the middle so this election will not have party affiliation...because everyone is from the middle. I think it is necessary to elect a leader. His or her only powers will be the right to start every post with "As your president" and state proudly in his or her signature that in a place commonly referred to as a cesspool he or she rose to the top.

Disclaimer: if Flop or Austin should win they will have these powers along with the power to ban your ass, although they will maintain those powers win or lose. Whoever wins I will address as Mr.or Mrs. President out of respect, although the rest of the post may be disrespectful. There will be two votes, the first to establish two candidate and the second to crown the winner. So let the voting begin when the poll shows up~

I used one vote for patteeu and use my other to write in myself, not really for any reason except it would be cool to have the president of DC be A Salt Weapon.

There has been some voter fraud this will be corrected and those votes will be disqualified....unless they help make this more interesting~

I would like to support A Salt Weapon. His service and consistency are examples for us all. I cannot vote in a rigged election and feel good about participating. Join me in support of ASW. Forward!

What's going on here? I would like to see HonestChiefFan start his posts with "As your president" whether he wins or loses. I'd enjoy watching heads explode even more than they already do when he posts.

I also voted for ThatGuy because this forum needs an unqualified, token black president to prove we aren't racists.

I donít see it as anything of the sort. I think of it as a harmless way to see who are the posters that represent political views that are the most compatible to the majority of people on this forum. Seeing it as a popularity contest seems to reveal an insecurity more than anything else~

Hold on just a minute. I need to change one of my votes to sportsshrink. If he wins, they'd have to let him come back, right?

Here's a message from his campaign. I'm sure he'd want you all to know he loves you if you're conservative and prays for you're all-but-certainly damned soul if you're liberal.

Why on Earth would you think that is necessary? The only purpose that serves is to create opposing political sides. Which we already have. Are you not capable of independent thought without knowing what Poster X and his gang thinks?

This is a silly popularity contest no different than the countless others which have been brought up on this site. And that has nothing to do with insecurity on my part. I'm not the one with a need to be part of a made up group here...
