Would you turn in your firearms??

Flat out, if your state or the Fed Gov passed a law similar to what NY did or what CA is trying to do, would you turn in any firearms or magazines that were suddenly deemed to be "illegal"?

What guns is right. I used to have quite a few guns but I sold them to this guy who happened to be in the obituaries just last week. I have no idea what he did with them.

No body is come for anyone's guns. You know they had an assault ban before and I failed to see another coming by with a cart to pick up guns.

I don't think that an assault weapon's bill will pass, and don't think that even worst case scenario that anyone is "coming for my guns." But a couple of things:

1. The last AWB grandfathered weapons and did not ban their transfer.

2. Every new form of AWB I have seen proposed at the federal and state level does not grandfather weapons in for transfer. That means that even if you can keep the firearm, when you die, it is forfeit.

3. The AWB's that have been proposed this time around are so restrictive that it is virtually impossible to comply with them by modifying the weapon. You are stuck.

4. Whether my property is taken from me by a thug knocking on the door, or by just waiting for me to die is close to irrelevant. The result is the same, my valuable property is stripped of its value arbitrarily. $1200.00 vaporized.

really? sorry, but this is a dumb poll. Anyone that would ever actually go purchase a firearm would not ever, ever, ever, turn it in.

It would take a shit ton. Kind of ironic that the regions with large population centers, where people vote for ridiculous gun control legislation, and are the statistical leaders in gun homicides, would be the easiest for the feds and friends to take control of.

They would have to carpet bomb the Pacific Coast region to make any serious inroads. Starting from NorCal to the Canadian border, and going substantially inland.

I know, It's like only people that bought firearms thinking they were 3d glasses from a movie theater would turn them in. I know there are people like that but can't be that many right?
