Basketball took a hit with the move, speaking simply from the perspective of fan interest. Games against the likes of KSU, Iowa State, OSU were all intriguing, though they weren't primary rivals.

And obviously the KU-MU games always had the potential to be a hell of a lot of fun.

I've between reading a lot about Texas fans trying to figure out how they are going to wind up in the SEC. Many of them don't believe that Dodds would sign a GOR that doesn't leave them an out.

What's more is that their consensus is that Mizzou would back Texas getting into the conference. It's hilarious. Check out shaggybevo.com if you haven't.

The entire fanbase thinks they are a true elite program right alongside Alabama and USC. In actuality, they are basically Georgia.

Lot out smoke out there that more expansion is coming with an announcement of Virginia to the B1G as early as tomorrow.

Even a lot of talk that the conference is going to 20. If that happens, I think major college football will be informally broken into a PAC/B1G side (32 teams) and a Big 12/SEC side (likely 32 teams).

If that happens, I see an eight team playoff with four conference champions and two at large teams from each side. Think Ohio State, USC, Oregon, Michigan, Alabama, aTm, Oklahoma, Florida in a playoff.
