HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are investigating the death of a Harrisburg man who was found seriously injured in his bed on the 1500 block of Vernon Street in Harrisburg this morning.

This is Harrisburg's second homicide in this week.

Police say they responded to the 1500 block of Vernon Street at 11:25 a.m. after receiving a call that two men were fighting with hammers.

Inside they found a 55-year-old man on the floor with stab wounds to his back. In a second floor bedroom they found 60-year-old Jose Vazquezmassive who was suffering from massive head trauma and injures.

Harrisburg Police Chief Pierre Ritter said he was bludgeoned to death.

I am aware that we are talking about gun control legislation, however, the only reason it has any traction is with gimmick logic such as this.

A weapon is a tool of death. It can be used for good or it can be used for evil. Education and straight answers will push the public opinion. Acting like it is a harmless object that doesn't possess the capacity to harm comes across as, well, silly.

So look at the stats, and decide for yourself why politicians are pushing for a ban on weapons that really aren't the "weapon of choice."

I've seen posters grumble that the bans are just meant to take real power from the citizenry. I don't think that there is enough evidence of that, honestly. I think politicians are using tragedies to get their names into the media. By making emotional generalizations and getting their names attached to legislation so that they can show that they are "doing something about it."

On that chart I see no mention of "assault rifle" I just see rifle, however, I'm inclined to agree with you. ****ing politicians playing political games. Every damned one of them needs to be sent home.

I can tell you with undying certainty, I am sick as shit of the gridlock, the bickering and blaming. When my kids get into a fight, they work it out. Some dumb shits making bank and putting on airs, can't? Screw em. They all need to go.

Yeah, I was trying to find stats for homicides committed with "assault rifles" but didn't find any before I got distracted and gave up. Lots of bullshit out there. And yeah, Washington D.C needs a giant ****ing enema.
