Pope Benedict Seeking Immunity?
Pope Benedict to seek immunity and protection from Italian President Giorgio Napolitano on February 23 Posted on February 14, 2013 by itccs

Pope Benedict, Joseph Ratzinger, has scheduled a meeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano for Saturday, February 23 to discuss securing protection and immunity from prosecution from the Italian government, according to Italian media sources.

Ratzinger's meeting follows upon the apparent receipt by the Vatican of a diplomatic note from an undisclosed European government on February 4, stating its intention to issue an arrest warrant for Ratzinger, who resigned from his pontificate less than a week later.

In response to the February 23 meeting, the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS), through its field Secretary, Rev. Kevin Annett, has written to President Napolitano, asking him to refrain from assisting Ratzinger in evading justice.

Downloaded it and started watching it, not sure I can finish watching it. I'm feeling virtual physical pain after just a few minutes of this. It's so disgusting to think of those kids, betrayed like that. I don't think I can gut it out.

OK I made it through. It swerved right at the point I felt the bile in my throat rising. Pretty informative and damning of Ratface. No wonder he stepped down. I'll give the vatican credit for getting ahead of the indictments and getting this done now so he doesn't have to stand trial as the pope.

Can you give any info without going into a lot of detail? I don't think I can take a lot of detail, from your description I don't think I can watch the documentary.

It's bad, real bad. Ratzinger got his appointment basically because he knew where all the bodies were buried. Our little catholic friend here in DC will spin it in some more positive light, as he must, he has no choice. To admit the precepts of the documentary is true is to admit supporting a corrupt criminal organization.

Its already cost the church $2 billion and its about to get worse. Catholics need to get ahead of the curve and up tithes to 15% as soon as possible to help cover the damages.

That is some pretty damning stuff. As I understand it (I'm sure a rational Catholic has a better understanding than me) the relationship between a practicing Catholic and the church is a very complicated thing. The relationship between the Vatican and the will of God (for lack of a better term) is even more complicated. There is a history of corruption in the Vatican that hasn't been denied (recently), it has been periodically addressed by Catholic laymen and officials. I guess the hope is that the church goes forward with honesty and humility with a strong dose of self examination.
