I havent seen anything about them being used against christians, nor would i believe it to be true... so leave me out of that one.

But the basic fact remains the same, government is out of control... Obama isnt just maintaining the status quo on all of these agencies Bush got started, he's expanding them. Its unneccessary and soaking up untold amounts of money.

Then it's Bush's fault. See how easy that is?

Here's the original source: http://modernsurvivalblog.com/govern...treet-sweeper/

You'll notice it's completely unsourced. Here's the Navistar Defense report: http://www.navistardefense.com/Navis.../newsandevents

Do you see where the Survivalist blog makes the jump? Their argument is roughly:

P1: Navistar makes vehicles for military (Navistar report)
P2: Military is drawing down troops in Afghanistan (general knowledge)
P3: Homeland Security is buying the vehicles from military (unsourced)
C: These tanks are going to be used on American streets against citizens
Iím not sure what you think youíve got with the bolded. Itís company reporting on trade shows.
I have made no inference as to the intended use of these vehicles but since we can now acknowledge that DHS is indeed buying them I think the expense of it and their intended use are legitimate topics of discussion.

Seriously, this here not a matter of fault to one person. It's the truth that both are doing this stuff. Let's face it Bush was no small govt conservative.

This type of thing has been reported on the most widely read libertarian site on the internet....and a while ago. Some police now have what actually look like small tanks.

Itís just a WAG on my part but each one of those vehicles probably cost in the hundreds of thousands.

Well, BuckEyedPsycho posted a video of an officer being interviewed discussing them so I think itís safe to say some have been purchased. The 2700 order hasnít been verified that I know of though.

Oh yeah, they're definitely not cheap, and 2700 is just a ridiculous number of them.

The cost is bad enough, but its the massive number of them that gives me pause.

If the 2700 number is true that should spook the **** out of everyone. That's 54 tanks per state. WTF is that needed?

So what people are all upset about is that in a drug and violence infested part of the country next to the Mexican border, they have purchased at least one armored vehicle for serving high risk warrants? Do people realize what's going on down there on a daily basis?
