Talk radio this morning were talking about how Haith should be thanking Anderson.

He handed him the keys to a stacked team.
He rescued him from probably firing in Miami.

And this is the thanks Anderson gets?

Anyway, the rivalry is now on, I'd say. It's going to be fun next time Mizzou comes to Fayetteville.

Pretty common viewpoint for people that spent about 20 minutes tops considering the issue.

What was the stat I heard last night? Something to the effect that 80% of MU's points this season come from players that were not here last year.

So much for getting embarrased in SEC play

Yeah, splitting with a shitty Arkansas team doesn't equal vindication. That being said, I'm not sure many thought that Mizzou would struggle in basketball in what's a down conference in the last few years.

Lucky Haith. It's not like he built a talented squad at Miami or anything...

That talented Miami squad may still come back to haunt him.

Mizzou has lost road games by 2, 2, 3, and two more road games in overtime.

We were beaten soundly by two of the best teams in the country, and Ole Miss won comfortably at their house.

We have since avenged the Florida loss, whipped Ole Miss, LSU, and Arkansas.

Our problem this season has been holding leads at the end of close games. Almost all of our wins have been blowouts, and most of our losses have been last minute meltdowns. Given everything this team has been through with Dixon, injuries to Bowers and Bell, etc., 22-8 with a shot at second place in the conference isn't bad at all.

It beats what Mike Anderson has done since leaving.

Anderson really screwed up Missouri's team. Missouri's team last year had an inordinate number of seniors. Of course, SMA also made sure to actively recruit NONE of the outstanding in-state talent the year that he left. Porter, Beal, McLemore, Young, etc. would have made for a nice foundation.

Haith has done a really solid job of solving both problems while continuing to win.

In fairness BJ Young visited MU. The players hated him so bad that they nearly beat his ass and told Anderson that they were completely opposed to having him on the team.

Was your team better this year or last year? You know, discounting the first round flameout in the tourney.
