SimCity

The new SimCity game comes out tomorrow.

Anyone getting it? The videos I've seen have looked incredible.

Tropico 4 is the exact same game as 3.

I came home tonight and first thing I did was open Origin

I found SimCity, and started clicking around. I noticed the british/french/german whatever packs., and then it hit me. SimCity is going to be just like The Sims, where its constant tiny content packs for a bunch of money, and they try to nickel and dime you into having 3 or 400 bucks invested in the game.

Then I closed Origin.

By the way, I just talked to Amazon and they are refunding me my $60+.

I already used the product code to activate on Origin. No telling if I get to keep the game or not.

In case you bought a physical copy from Amazon, they shouldn't give you any trouble should you want to return it.

You do have to ship it back to them though.

I don't want to return it . . . I just want it to work.

I really just want a pirated copy that works offline. Maxis/EA already has my money. Now, I want a working product.

Piracy wins again.

Just return it.

I'm willing to bet you can find it for $30 within a month.

I'm never buying a game w/ this level of DRM again. **** Diablo III. **** this game.

Of the 5 hours I've spent trying to play, I got a good 10-20 min in.

I've spent about 11 hours with it, through fortunate use of Euro servers before it launched there. It's a fun game, right up my alley. The launch has been botched to shit, though. Not even World of Warcraft was this bad when it first came out, and its release was pretty awful.

Interesting. As of right now there is no charge on my bank account for SimCity. I was checking because I am thinking of disputing the charge....

Heh, glad I found this thread. I didn't care for SC4, but I was thinking about giving this one a try but no way in hell after what I've read in here.

**** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** these servers blow. Piracy wins again. Also, if you build a city in one server but it goes down on you and you switch, your city will not switch over.

I just asked for a refund and got refused. I am issuing a stop payment and disputing the transaction. I told the lady at EA they can keep the game on my account or remove it, I don't really care.
