SOmeone tried to "out" him awhile back. He used the "deny til you die" defense. I think at one point he even said something like "I don't know who this Tom person is, but he sounds pretty swell to me!", or somesuch gibberish, lol.

The same sex marriage debate isn't really about banning anything. If you ban guns, you take away the ability for a person to legally possess guns. If you "ban" same sex marriage, you don't take away the ability for a person to form lifelong commitments to a partner of the same sex.

"Banning" same sex marriage is more like saying we're not going to give a tax break and a host of other special government benefits (which, to be fair, are substantial) to people who possess guns.

no that is wrong
it is about BIG GOBERMENT sticking it's nose into peoples personal life

this is a civil rights issue
think the constitution calls it the pursuit of happiness

but getting married is a pursuit of misery

Legal marriage necessarily involves the government, because the government takes a role in enforcing the agreement between the two parties of the marriage contract. The government isn't just sticking its nose in because it has nothing better to do with its nose. The parties entering into every legal marriage—traditional or same-sex—invite the government into the marriage as a third party defender of the rights of each individual in the marriage.

If you don't want the government involved in marriage, there are ways around it, but relatively few people choose those paths.

BTW: The pursuit of happiness is a Declaration of Independence thing, not a Constitution thing.

Y'all are just butt hurt that you're still the 3rd grade dropout goth kids in your mom's basements that no one likes, sad that you cannot force normal people to accept your gayness. You tears taste wonderful.

I can't believe there are still people against homosexual marriage who are willing to own up to it. The time of the racist and bigot is over, or haven't you heard. Your grandkids will be terribly disappointed in you. Much like, I hope you're disappointed in them for their views on minorities and women.
