Orphan Black - opinion

scouting summer catch up viewing, and had noted over the season that there seemed to be considerable critical heat over Orphan Black. Purposely avoided familarizing myself with it and really know little outside said heat, but would welcome general assessment -slash- comparisons to similar fare in making a decision.

I dvr'd the first episode but never watched it. I generally like stuff on BBCA (like Copper which returns in a few weeks) and I'm obviously interested in science fiction but for some reason I never felt motivated to watch.

Watched the entire season. Started off slowly but the wife and I got hooked. Great show, balances suspense without getting too deep or taking itself to seriously.

Tatiana Maslany does a great job playing all the roles. I recommend the show.

This pretty much covers my thoughts as well. Took a little while to get going but overall was very entertaining.

Same here. The wife and I finished it last night. After the first couple I was on the verge of moving on but I'm glad I stuck with it.

Tatiana knocks it out of the park.

It is amazing. You may need to give it a few episodes before you are hooked, but it is my favorite non-HBO drama right now.

I watched the first season on Prime and am half way through the second one. It's not great, but I can't quit it so I guess it is worth the time. Tatiana really does a great job. And she's epic hot.

It's getting sufficiently complex enough to keep me hooked.

BBCA has released the first 4 minutes of the season premier. Flashback to Beth and a new clone.
