Obamacare is postponed one year for...

...large corporations.

ObamaCare is still going into effect in 2014, but one key component of it is being temporarily shelved. The White House today postponed by one year a rule requiring employers to either provide coverage to employees or face hefty fines, reports the Wall Street Journal. The rule will take effect in 2015, instead of 2014...

It is better to duck the rising premium during the election year. Smart move!

I doubt that, but if it did it's only because costs aren't associated with it. Free stuff is cool and all - and hey I like free stuff you know - but tell me a cost? I don't like that part.

This just shows the massive cognitive dissonance of economically ignorant masses.

Poll question: Do you like getting free stuff?

It's astonishing that people would say yes.

Pointing out that people like to get free stuff (at least stuff they THINK is free to THEM) is hardly a compelling argument regarding the wisdom or economic viability of Obamacare.

I believe it was last summer during the campaign season where USA Today or some org polled Americans about the best ways to reduce the deficit. I believe only 1 issue polled a solid majority in favor: "raising taxes on the wealthy". That was the only popular idea - sacrifice on the part of others.

Nor should you.

Paying for stuff is not fun. But it's the greater part of legislation.

Dude, your question is 100% irrelevant. The fact is the Dems forced this bill through without reading it, Obama signed it and now wants to play King and push part of it out because, since no one read the bill, they are just now figuring out it sucks!

Not only did the Dems make this bed, Obama is breaking the law by pushing part of the law out without congressional approval.

Imagine the screams of outrage we would have heard from the Democrats if Romney had won the election and done exactly the same thing.

Fixing a problem in a law that has been passed but not yet implemented? Hmmm, maybe we should have read it before passing it. You know, to get it right the first ****ing time!

**edit** I see I am late with this response. That is what I get for not coming into DC very often any more.

This is a stunningly dumb political move on Obama's part. He's given the Republicans daylight on Obamacare now, and has people doubting the program entirely. Now the House GOP is saying htey're going to attempt to delay the individual mandate, and the Senate Republicans are saying they want to make that delay permanent.

Obama isn't a terribly deft politician.

Other than being a pretty decent looking man (well, not ugly or anything), a pretty convincing speaker (voice tone and whatnot), having a bit of swagger (which impresses the VH1 crowd), and impressing a large and growing population of selfish, ignorant and/or lazy people; nobody has ever accused Obama of being much more than dumb. The only group more dumb than he, are his desperate supporters.

Six years in office and his supports blame the former administration for this NSA deal. Six years in office and Gitmo is still just what it was. Six years in office and, for many, times are worse... LOL...

Sometimes you just have to laugh...

COURT BATS OBAMACARE BACK TO SUPREMES

Chief Justice John Roberts and his cohorts on the U.S. Supreme Court will get a second chance to slap down the health care takeover known as Obamacare.

The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that the Constitution’s Commerce Clause is enough authority for Congress to demand employers purchase private health insurance for their employees or pay government fines.
