She's trying to do anything she can to appear sexy and edgy. She's neither, so she just comes off as weak and fake.

It's kind of funny, but it shows that it does take a certain kind of talent to pull off the slutty/weird act and have it seem sort of sexy and even cool. Maybe she'll grow into it, but right now she just seems desperate and embarrassingly awkward.
