Blitzing the shit out of Syria is not about regime change....OK

The president is consulting with leaders of Congress and allies abroad as he weighs military options such as missile strikes against Syrian military installations.

Asked if the president is contemplating the killing of Syrian leader Bashar Assad, Mr. Carney replied, “The options that we are considering are not about regime change.”

If we do end up weakening Assad enough for him to be toppled, then pray to God the military defectors in the FSA can drive out the jihadis.

A bunch of freaking cannibals in charge would be... uh, bad.

Don't worry, Iran and Russia will keep Assad in power. Everyone in this conflict are bad guys and the more we can help them kill each other the better.

The requested authorization from Obama is not limited enough for the stated purpose. I dont know why they are trying to overreach on this. Its like they went to the Wolfowitz school of war pr.

The resolution drawn up in the Senate makes some sense. It keeps it to Syria, limits it to 90 days, no ground troops. Might at least stop future gas attacks by these sh#heads.

I wouldnt mind waiting on inspectors though to finish and try to get non Russia/China support at least.

Now everyone's shocked that the drums are being banged for yet another war when, in reality, you all should have listened to Paul and Kucinich years ago.
