The smorgasbord of Syria options. Which do you favor?

Good people of the DC forum: you are now the United States Congress.

I have a dozen different options in dealing with the crisis in Syria. You will vote what you prefer.

I'm sure Congress will take our lead.

A pretty exhaustive poll coming.

Keep in mind, these are the options are you are approving of as of now, based on what you know now. You are casting your vote now.

As bad as al Qaeda is, an empowered Iran is a bigger threat, IMO. That doesn't mean I want to help al Qaeda though.

Let's see...almost every major dem claimed SH had WMD, then used it a politcal weapon once the BA invaded....fast forward to Kerry calling for the invasion of Syria for WMD....hypocritical assclown.

here's what Congress should do....post their net worth before and after serving in Washington..then resign. It's ironic that the forefathers were willing to sacrifice their own fortunes for the Republic for our expense, and current politicians sacrifice the Republic for their own fortunes, at our expense.

This country's moral compass is rudderless.

To who? Not us, certainly.

To Israel? Israel out guns them by a large margin. We're a bigger danger to Israel than Iran is if Egypt is any indicator.

I've just checked the poll and I'm the only one who voted for helping Assad. For me in the middle east I have rather a crazy dictator in power who is only interested in getting rich than some muslim fanatics who say f o to the west. Libya and Iraq are great example. If you were to ask citizen there if there preferred Gadaffi and Hussein to the present regime there would say Gadaffi and Hussein.

Missing Choice: Send our "leaders" alone and unarmed into Syria to talk things over with both sides. Hold new elections after headless, gassed bodies are shown on CNN. Only election rules: your job is temporary (5 years max with no lifelong pension), no lawyers can run and you have to have had at least one previous job in the private sector where you have had to pay taxes.

To us if you believe we have vital national interests in the free flow of Middle East oil and global trade.

That might be true in Libya, but not in Iraq.

Chose humanitarian aid, but do nothing is appealing.

What the hell does this even mean? Are you voting to reject the resolution currently in congress?

If so, that is not going to be any kind of political masterstroke. It'll actually get Obama off the hook, he'll be able to shrug and say that congress has spoken, and the people will be relieved and approve since they seem to be against this. If congress votes for force, Obama isn't going to later "point the finger back at the evil Hawk Repub Congress", that is utterly silly.
