Everything seems to point to "team" racing not being good for the sport.

No idea why this is a chase race. Would rather have Richmond be this race, have Chicago last week.

To me, the first couple of Chase races are sort of anticlimactic after the usual craziness at Richmond. Might as well be at boring tracks. And I think Richmond found themselves in a prime spot as the place where everything comes to a head. The other track promoters would likely consider killing a hobo for that spot now.

Help me out here...I am assuming that this really is no different than when a driver let's another pass him to help out a teammate/gain position in the standings, except that the "chatter" on the box that was caught, am I right?

In a very light way, there is a parallel. Almost like giving them a part so they can race the next day. It's shades of gray, but A) the chatter was very damming, and B) the degree to which they went was WAY over the line. Next year they'll simply use more cryptic code for such stuff and take into account that the world is watching their telemetry in all of this.

So yes, but there are degrees of egregiousness in all of this too.

Oh...I understand they were stupid in talking about it over the airwaves. That's like robbing the bank and then telling your best friend who is a snitch for the cops.

It's just stupidity. You've gotta have pre-set ways to communicate things, like QB's calling audibles.
