They certainly did with Denver, and if the defenses of Pitt and NE catch AIDS like Denver did, anything is certainly possible.
If the Chiefs offense can't score more than the 17 points they scored in the losses to Tampa and Tennessee (and they were gifted with turnovers in both games), it will be hard for the Chiefs defense to realistically compensate for that against the likes of Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger.

I think most Chiefs fans understand we need to score more than 17 in the playoffs.

Now what we need is some productive input on how we get there.

Seems the Kelce/Hill combo worked well on the #2 defense in the NFL.

It's not hard to figure out... Alex Smith has to be more than a Bubble Screen QB.

if they make it to the Super Bowl it will be because Alex stepped up, and I will give him all the credit in the world, because that's all I wanted him to do.

If they lose, it's a bust, and it will mostly be on him. He plays the most important position, and when it comes down to it in the playoffs, QB is THE position that counts the most.

blah blah blah last years Denver team, yeah I know, don't care. Peyton still had his mind and clearly coached that team to the Super Bowl, clearly overrode Kubiak, clearly was the smartest guy in the stadium every game. That's an outlier example does not apply to us.

There's no excuse if Alex Smith can't beat the Tom Savages, Matt Moores and Matt McGloins of the world to get to Brady.
It always amazes me how there are so many angry people when we make the playoffs. WTF is wrong with you guys?

building hope of playoffs.... brings fear... which then brings anger.

defense mechanism

build a forcefield of negativity around self.. helps to minimize hope... and protects one better from potential disappointment.

Does the hope come with making some noise also?

Btw. It's not the 90s. That hope in the playoffs was plaid out back then. Do some research on this franchise. It would help your cause.

I don't want hope. I want to kick other teams ass and advance. Hope can eat a bag of dicks...
