Its a little different when you live in Tijuana North.

Anyways, I am rooting for CONCACAF when I root for them too. Its like when I root for the MWC in the NCAA tourney. Honduras is shitting it up though.

I cheer for CONCACAF, outside of Mexico. Mexico can **** off.

Other than that, I don't have allegiance to any team but USA. Any time I like another team, a player tends to ruin it for me. I used to enjoy the Dutch, but DeJong made me hate them. Same thing with a few other teams.

so the buzz is that some french players may refuse to play today....

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle1612587/

Quote:
The team did turn up for practice Monday. But Mr. Domenech conceded he wasn’t entirely sure if all the players would show up for what may well be France’s final tournament match, against host nation South Africa. “I tried to convince them that what they were doing was an aberration, an imbecility, a stupidity without name,” Mr. Domenech said.

Even French President Nicolas Sarkozy was embroiled in the controversy, telling a news conference in St. Petersburg that Mr. Anelka’s remarks were “unacceptable.”

Meanwhile, Sports Minister Roselyne Bachelot – on the orders of Mr. Sarkozy – was reportedly holding “crisis talks’ with team officials. She made it clear that there would be stiff punishment for players deemed guilty of having stained the nation’s honour, bringing France to the dark nadir of its sporting history.

“French football is facing a disaster, not because it lost a match but because this disaster is a moral disaster,” she said. “The reality of the situation must be faced head on.”

The team had produced “a caricature of France,” complained France’s Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, “an appalling soap opera.”

Everyone seemed to want a piece of the action. Seeing an opportunity to score a few political points, former prime minister and now Sarkozy rival Dominique de Villepin declared, “I do not want France to resemble our football team.”

French newspaper editorials vied for the prize in acidic vituperation.

“Collective suicide,” fumed Le Figaro. “The French team has heaped ridicule on itself in front of the whole world. [It’s] symbolic of the cynicism of the era.”

Libération said: “The publicity people sell us [is] an illusion of players imbued with team spirit. They are in reality bling-bling traders.”

A “band of spoilt children,” echoed Le Parisien, “left free to do what they like … [with] no limit, no sense of duty.”

I'm hoping for a 1-0 Uruguay Victory (johnny drama style) and a 2-0 France win.
