Paying a very top of market rate to lock up a FA player at the very start of free agency doesn't suddenly make that FA a better player.

And no player ever gives money back for not living up to their contract.

The league is probably looking at illegal formation, false start more than they used to and Taylor is under a microscope.

If Taylor is the worst contract the team has (?), that is actually fine. Like draft picks, not every FA contract turns out great.
