If the Chiefs do end up with the # 1 pick..

I hope they take Rey Maualuga, Middle Linebacker, USC.

The Chiefs defense has a lot of young talented players but they do not have an emotional leader on the field.

currently listed as 6'2" 250+ lbs

right on, we could put daniel and reesing in the backfield at the same time.
teams might not be able to see them behind the oline, and WAMMO the option play to the house. fake the option, throw the 3 yd screen. dbo to the house(because teams HAVE to respect that option) wow we would be great

While true, his injury list isn't severe as it was to Brokie's time in Alabama.

All I'm going to say is, smallish QB, playing in a spread offense, with an injury history at Texas who has a history of under coaching and under preparing players for the NFL.

Not to mention Texas players rarely leave early so debating him probably isn't worth the time.

I understand that, and I agree with the assessment. But at the same time, the QB's under Richt's system in Georgia didn't do no good either as well. Just something to think about.

While true, if McCoy keeps playing like this, the odds of him leaving early for the $ is pretty high, especially if Texas does win the NC.

Georgia has never had an NFL prospect at QB till now, before this his best QB was David Greene, basically the college version of Damon Huard.

There isn't anyone who likes Rey Maualuga better than I do, but you don't take a LB with a top 5 pick.

And you don't take a QB that has never played in a pro style offense, never made a play under pressure, never had to put a throw into a small window higher than a QB who has to do that almost every time he has to drop back, and is singlehandedly resonsible for his team's high ranking.

The myopia around here is just un****ingbelievable.

Got to disagree with you here. I went to Miami and Ben had a good WR core. Before injuring his knee, Martin Nance was a very good pro prospect. The nephew of Barry Larkin (His name escapes me know) was his slot receiver and Ryne Robinson who plays for the Panthers was his other WR. Ben sometimes tries to hard. He will play solid and smart football for a few games and then throw five picks in one game. He's always been that way. See Iowa game his Junior year.
