Andy probably won't even consider such a thing until year three but I hope he does. We need that big arm before our defense gets to old.

I think you will find the two groups are quite disparate on this subject. Not many of the former group are in the latter group.

Yeah was going for starting QB's and not just ones on the roster, ala Blundin, Stenstrom, and Vlassic (although he did start a few games).

You would figure at some point KC would stumble upon a starting QB in the draft at some point in thier history.

I had just noticed Thigpen missing from the list, Gannon, Palko, along with Kyle Orton as a quick check. It doesn't change the point though.

From 1987 to 2011, Chiefs didn't even have a 1st round pick quarterback on the roster. Not a single castoff from another team was a former first rounder. Brady Quinn broke that streak last year. While Alex Smith does suck, he does have that going for him.
